Church Sketchbook - Greatest Hits

Here's three spreads from the last few months. I draw during the sermon, and usually it relates (somewhat) to the chosen text. The drawings are done in around 30 minutes.

My sketchbook wants to be like yours when it grows up.

Despite the brilliance of the fish head drawing, I don't think Lifeway is going to buy your "fishers of men" idea for vbs decorations...

I was up for a great illustrated bible commission 2 years ago (written beautifully by friend and fellow Schwartz & Wade author Sally Lloyd-Jones) and did not get the job. I suspect my sample drawing was too much in this vein. Sally has the drawing today. Perhaps I should post it someday.

Wait, did you just say a friend of yours wrote the Bible? Awesome.

The fisher of men sketch isn't referencing Isaiah's "He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth," is it?
